The shoot is scheduled to go from 12:00 – 4:00pm but during the summer months Al wanted to extend it until sundown and the Board of Directors agreed. The idea is to have parents and grandparents schedule the afternoon to spend time with their children and/or grandchildren in a fun and safe way. The shoot is designed for .22 rimfire rifles and the targets are at 100 yards (a scope is recommended). The targets are reactive steel spinners, plates, etc. so that you can see your hits instantly without having to walk downrange every few minutes to reset and check the targets. This is similar to the cracker shoot in that it is very informal and designed to just be a lot of fun.
