Cost: FREE, no cost to shooter. Open to the public.  Donations will be accepted.
Age: 8 – 20

Participants are required to be present for the Safety Briefing at 5:00 pm.

If you miss the Safety Briefing, you don't shoot!

The Junior Trap program is designed to teach our junior shooters how to properly and safely handle a shotgun. Shooters need not bring anything, except themselves, and a parent or guardian. Minors can attend with a valid signed and dated permission slip  [Click Here].

The shooters are required to provide their own ammunition (12 or 20 gauge).

Escondido Fish and Game Association provides everything else!

  • All equipment required for the trap match including shotguns is supplied by EF&GA (with prior coordination with the match director)
  • Eye and ear protection
  • A coach for each shooter.

The course of fire consists of 25 rounds at clay pigeons from 5 different positions.
